Just so that you are all aware, the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act passed in the House late last night. When the president signs it, the United States military has blanket authorization to treat american soil as a battleground, and can detain indefinitely, interrogate, and execute you, without charges or trial. No big deal. Just fyi. You now officially live under martial law.

There’s just too much potential for abuse with this law depending on a person’s “interpretation”. Interpretation is 100% of a law’s effectiveness, enforcability, and subjugation to appeal. However, it doesn’t appear that the drafters of this bill ever intend for it to see the inside of a courtroom for it to ever actually be appealed!
1. The wording says “associated forces” (does not stiplify how they must be associated because no proof must be presented. Being of the same country of birth/ speaking the same language is an association)
2. that are engaged in hostilities (again not defined and subject to WIDE interpretation) against the United States,
3. its coalition partners (now we’re detaining prisoners who aren’t even directly a threat to us, but who are associated with someone who is a “threat” to someone we’re associated with)
4.INCLUDING ANY PERSON WHO HAS COMMITTED A BELLIGERENT ACT (WITH NO ASSOCIATION AT ALL!!) note that this is an all inclusive statement with NO stipulations.
